We thought we were absolutely serving. Aragonite is a stone of insight, patience, and self-discipline. It helps you reflect on past choices without cringing yourself into another dimension, offering clarity, understanding, and a little grace for the version of you that was just figuring it out. Because if we never learn from old mistakes, life tends to re-release them like a reboot nobody asked for.

SAFETY - FOCUS - STABILITY Black Jasper is the energetic equivalent of saying, “Not today Satan.” Grounding, protective, and steady as hell, this stone is perfect for high-stress environments, chaotic people, or days where everyone seems determined to test your patience. Negative energy hits this thing and slides right off like a drunk guy biffin’ it on a slip and slide. Black Jasper keeps you focused, calm, and stable when everything around you feels like a group chat on the verge of collapse. Like other Jaspers, it’s a stone of strength, but this one knows true power is setting boundaries and not wasting your energy on nonsense.

REPELS NEGATIVE ENERGY - PROTECTION - GROUNDING Bad vibes beware, Black Tourmaline has entered the chat. This stone is basically the final boss of protection crystals. Imagine bad vibes and negativity as annoying little mosquitoes draining your energy, and Tourmaline is the industrial-strength bug spray. Gone. Evicted. Blocked. We always recommend keeping this one near entryways or around the home to help stop negative energy at the door. Feeling cursed by workplace energy? One minute I’m the supportive friend holding space, holding hands, or holding hair after too much prosecco. The next, I’m crying because the world is terrible, then laughing at a stupid meme, then dramatically announcing that no one understands me. A rich tapestry. Exhausting, but rich. Iolite is for those moments when your emotions start whipping around like a wacky inflatable flailing arm man (IYKYK). PATIENCE - INTENTION - KNOWLEDGE Larvikite is sometimes (mistakenly) called Black Moonstone, which sounds like a Sailor Moon villain and honestly, respect. This stone is associated with patience, knowledge and intention-setting. Use it when you’re planning, manifesting or trying not to rage-quit because your goals haven’t been achieved in 3–5 business days. Hold it while setting intentions, keep it near your journal or workspace, or use it during new moon rituals as a reminder that what you’re building needs time, focus and a little less dramatic impatience.

SERENITY - PATIENCE - ACCEPTANCE Lepidolite is basically THE bedtime crystal! Perfect for when your brain decides midnight is the ideal time to replay every terrible life choice you’ve ever made. Known for serenity, patience and emotional calm, it’s a favourite for sleep routines, stress relief and winding down. It also naturally contains lithium, an element used scientifically in mood-stabilising medicine; though holding the crystal is not the same as taking medication. Keep it by your bedside for less chaos, more calm, and hopefully a solid eight hours.

EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE - SELF-REFLECTION - EMOTIONAL GROWTH Mahogany Obsidian is for when you want self-reflection, but not a confronting spiritual PowerPoint titled “Here’s Where You Went Wrong”. Regular Obsidian can be intense, but Mahogany Obsidian is a softer place to start. It supports grounding, emotional growth and gentle reflection. I like to compare it with walking into the shallow end instead of shoved into the deep end of the pool.

Associated with intuition, creativity, emotional balance and new beginnings, this stone encourages flexibility, playfulness and being open to unexpected opportunities. Very “say yes to the art class, take the scenic route, stop acting like joy needs a calendar invite” energy. Lovely for stagnant periods, creative ruts, or when life needs a little more colour and a lot less autopilot.

SECURITY - STRENGTH - GROUNDING Red Jasper is quiet strength. No big speeches, no dramatic monologue, no LinkedIn post about resilience. Just solid, grounded, ancient “I’ve got this” energy. Associated with strength, security and stability, Red Jasper reminds me of the red earth beneath our feet here in Australia; powerful, steady and deeply rooted. It’s the kind of strength that doesn’t need to announce itself because everyone can already feel it.

These days that feeling usually requires at least three coffees and a minor miracle OR Red Tiger’s Eye! Red Tiger’s Eye is basically a double espresso for your vibes. Known for motivation, confidence, focus and self-encouragement, this stone helps you get moving, smash goals and back yourself while doing it. For when you need less “five more minutes” and more “let’s bloody go.”

HEALING - FORGIVENESS - BONDING Rhodonite is for the heart that has been through it and is still trying. Especially after heartbreak, betrayal, or a relationship that left you questioning your own worth. Its cleansing reputation comes from its high carbon content, which is known for absorbing impurities basically nature’s little Brita filter. Energetically, Shungite is associated with cleansing, grounding and protection. A lovely stone for resetting your space, clearing energetic static and coming back down to earth after doing entirely too much.

Like Black Obsidian, it’s associated with inward reflection, emotional growth and seeing the truths we avoid, but Snowflake Obsidian brings a softer, more balanced energy to the process. It helps you look at old patterns, excuses and little  self-lies with honesty and compassion. It’s giving, “oh shit we should actually look at this”. A beautiful stone for gentle shadow work, self-awareness and growth that doesn’t feel like emotional whiplash.

TRUTH - INTUITION - SELF ESTEEM Despite what Instagram might suggest, self-esteem has not always come naturally to me. It’s something I’ve had to work on, which is why Sodalite has always been one of those crystals I keep close. Associated with truth, intuition, logic and self-confidence, Sodalite helps quiet the emotional noise so you can see yourself more clearly; not as your insecurities describe you, but as you actually are. A powerful stone for coming out of your shell, trusting your voice and saying, “I’m 100% me, and actually, I really like me.”

A blend of Epidote, Pink Feldspar and Jasper, it’s associated with connection, teamwork, inclusivity and friendships that grow naturally over time.
